About The Position

Coates Field Service Mechanics take responsibility for the repair of Coates hire equipment and machinery on customer sites. This is a permanent full-time position, based out of our Orange branch, servicing the region and onsite at Cadia Valley Operations. The role involves safe, effective, and efficient preventative maintenance, service, and overhaul as required. You will deliver a level of trust and commitment to our customers, ensuring Coates is the right supplier for their project. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults across a variety of equipment on site, including large earthmoving machinery, generators, lighting plants, and boom lifts. You will also ensure stock levels of spare parts are available to undertake any repair on site.

Requirements

Relevant Trade qualifications
Experience with petrol and diesel motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical skills
Drivers licence (preferably MR or HR)
Effective time management and attention to detail
Troubleshooting, diagnostic and preventative maintenance skills
