About The Position

Perform work as a fitter apprentice to help maintain safe and adequate service to customers. Carry out gas utility construction activities according to the position classification and complete the required training and Operator Qualifications. Operate equipment used for main and service installations, leak investigations, and leak surveys. Maintain a neat appearance and interact courteously and efficiently with internal and external customers. Perform other assigned duties, including service watch. Construction and/or HVAC experience is helpful but not required; on-the-job training is provided. Candidates must have a CDL or be willing to obtain one within 60 days of hire and must live within 30 miles of their reporting headquarter.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic math skills.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to use tools and equipment.
• Must be capable of physically and mentally working in or on gas facilities.
• Must be able to learn and follow safety rules associated with job duties.
• Must have a CDL or be willing to obtain one within 60 days of hire.
• Must live within 30 miles of the reporting headquarter.
