About The Position

Kona Kai San Diego Resort is a boutique urban resort located on Shelter Island. With 170 guestrooms, Kona Kai Resort is home to Vessel Restaurant + Bar, SpaTerre, a marina and a private club, all located just minutes from downtown San Diego. We are currently seeking a positive, hard-working, self-motivated individual to join our fantastic team as our Fitness & Recreation Supervisor at our island-inspired resort. This role reports to : Fitness and Recreation Manager & Director of Resort Operation We are looking for positive, hard-working, self-motivated individuals to join our fantastic team and assist us in making things better. You will provide excellent guest service and assist guests with check-in and access to the facilities. As well as be responsible for supervision of Recreation Attendants and delegation of tasks needed to operate all aspects of the Fitness & Recreation Departments. The Recreation Lead/Supervisor will work alongside their fellow Recreation Lead/Supervisors, Recreation Attendants.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of two (2) years' experience in a supervisory role in a recreational facility preferred
• Proven ability in communication and a collaborative work environment
• Creative personality with organizational skills and attention to detail
• Positive, upbeat personality, desire to learn and able to multi-task
• Able to transport and lift 35lbs
• Have no issues standing/walking around for long periods of time
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software programs

Nice To Haves

• bachelor's degree preferred
• Previous customer service experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervision of Recreation Attendants and delegation of tasks needed to operate all aspects of the Fitness & Recreation Departments.
• Work closely with other Club Attendants and guide on duties.
• Provide direct feedback and communication with the Recreation Manager.
