About The Position

Kona Kai San Diego Resort is seeking a positive, hard-working, self-motivated individual to join their team as a Fitness & Recreation Supervisor. This role reports to the Fitness and Recreation Manager & Director of Resort Operation. The supervisor will provide excellent guest service, assist guests with check-in and facility access, and supervise Recreation Attendants. Responsibilities include delegating tasks for the operation of the Fitness & Recreation Departments, working alongside fellow Recreation Leads/Supervisors and Recreation Attendants, providing direct feedback to the Recreation Manager, and guiding other Club Attendants on duties. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and time management skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, excellent communication and customer service skills, and basic computer proficiency.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Proven ability in communication and a collaborative work environment
• Creative personality with organizational skills and attention to detail
• Positive, upbeat personality, desire to learn and able to multi-task
• Able to transport and lift 35lbs
• Have no issues standing/walking around for long periods of time
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software programs

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Minimum of two (2) years' experience in a supervisory role in a recreational facility preferred
• Previous customer service experience preferred
• Flexible schedule required

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent guest service
• Assist guests with check-in and access to facilities
• Supervise Recreation Attendants
• Delegate tasks needed to operate all aspects of the Fitness & Recreation Departments
• Work alongside fellow Recreation Leads/Supervisors and Recreation Attendants
• Work closely with other Club Attendants and guide on duties
• Provide direct feedback and communication with the Recreation Manager
