(Personal Trainer, Wellness Coach, Exercise Specialist) Part-time [morning (7a-12p) and evening (3p-8p)] shifts Job Overview: We are accepting applications for an enthusiastic and fun Fitness PRO that is energetic and passionate about working with clients who are looking to improve their overall health and wellness. This position will be at our fitness and wellness facility located in Arlington, VA

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology or in a related field AND/OR an NCCA accredited Personal Training certification (NASM, ACSM, CSCS, ISSA, etc.).
  • Current CPR/AED certification.
  • Current knowledge of industry standards and proficiency in exercise assessments and exercise program design.
  • Have an interest in Golf/Racquet Sports specific training.
  • Knowledge about the industry with the customer skills to network, engage, and interact with club members, guests and participants of all demographics.
  • Occasionally work weekends for ANCC special events (golf tournaments/racquet sports tournaments, other special events, etc.).
  • Must communicate professionally using appropriate vocabulary and grammar to obtain and relay information to and from club members/guests.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Assist members in personal fitness training, wellness coaching, and/or nutrition coaching.
  • Conduct on-going fitness consultations for participants, including initial assessments and goal setting in order to recommend appropriate fitness programming and complimentary wellness services.
  • Up to 10 hours per week assisting with fitness desk attendant responsibilities.
  • Create fitness programming to not only support but also motivate clients to continue striving toward their health and wellness goals.
  • Monitor, engage and instruct members of the fitness center on safe and effective use of cardiovascular, flexibility, and strength training equipment within the fitness center.
  • Educate members on clinically proven health and fitness information and available fitness services at the Army Navy Country Club.
  • Maintain positive client experience by providing 5-Star service at the highest quality.
  • Occasionally assist in cleaning and organization of fitness floor.
