About The Position
The Fitness Floor Associate is responsible for providing excellent customer service and support on the fitness floor. This role involves ensuring a positive and safe environment for members, assisting them with their fitness needs, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the fitness area. The position also requires adherence to various training and certification requirements within specified timeframes after hire.
Requirements
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to relate to diverse groups in the community
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma preferred
- Minimum of one-year experience in customer service or wellness field preferred
Responsibilities
- Ensure a positive and safe environment for members on the fitness floor.
- Assist members with their fitness needs.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the fitness area.
- Complete New Employee Orientation, Sexual Harassment, ALICE (Active Shooter), and Blood-borne Pathogens trainings within 90 days of hire.
- Obtain CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications within 30 days of hire.
- Complete YMCA Healthy Lifestyles certification within 60 days of hire.
