About The Position

Nex is hiring a Fitness Content Creator & Instructor to create motion-tracked fitness content for Nex Playground, including BoxFlow and NexGym. The role begins with creating BoxFlow workouts: choreographing boxing moves to music, then writing and recording voiceovers. The creator will playtest and refine workouts with the team and develop fitness challenges and programs using available tracking. The position is a 20-hour-per-week, three-month part-time contract, with a stated path to full-time employment based on fit and impact. The contract is described as running through the end of 2026. The role is based in San Jose, California, or remote up to three to four days a week, and reports to the Lead Game Designer.

The successful candidate will grow from creating workouts to leading challenges, programs, and community engagement for Nex’s fitness roadmap, with an opportunity to become an on-camera personality for future NexGym workout programs. Requirements

• Group fitness teaching experience.
• Fitness certification, such as NASM, ACE, or ACSM.
• Solid boxing fundamentals and an understanding of fun, safe combinations.
• Strong sense of rhythm and ability to place punches to music.
• Clear, energetic script-writing skills.
• Confident delivery on microphone and camera.

Nice To Haves

• Boxing or kickboxing coaching experience.
• Experience creating fitness content for apps, streaming, or social media.
• An existing fitness community or social presence.

Responsibilities

• Choreograph BoxFlow workouts to music using jabs, crosses, hooks, slips, squats, and blocks, paced for beginner and intermediate players.
• Write and record voiceover scripts that cue combinations, coach form, and motivate players.
• Appear on camera as needed.
• Design and lead fitness challenges and programs across BoxFlow and NexGym to help parents get started and stay consistent.
• Engage with the fitness community as a coaching voice and bring feedback to the team.
• Partner with designers and engineers on new workout interactions for the living room.
• Playtest and refine workouts with the team.
• Design and pitch an initial fitness challenge or program using available tracking.
