About The Position

Nex is hiring a Fitness Content Associate to create motion-tracked fitness content for Nex Playground, starting with BoxFlow workouts and growing into fitness challenges, programs, and community engagement. The role begins with choreographing boxing workouts to music, then writing and recording voiceovers. The associate will playtest and refine workouts with the team and design and pitch an initial fitness challenge or program using available tracking. The contract is intended to convert to full-time based on fit and impact, with an opportunity to take ownership of challenges, programs, and community for Nex’s fitness roadmap and potentially become the on-camera personality for future NexGym workout programs.

The position is part-time, 20 hours per week, for a three-month contract, with the posting stating that the contract runs through the end of 2026. It is based in San Jose, California, with remote work up to three or four days a week. The role reports to the Lead Game Designer. Nex notes that employees may collaborate across time zones and, depending on role and location, may occasionally travel for company events, external meetings, and other business activities.

Requirements

• Group fitness teaching experience.
• Fitness certification, such as NASM, ACE, or ACSM.
• Solid boxing fundamentals and an understanding of fun, safe combinations.
• A strong sense of rhythm and ability to align punches with music.
• Clear, energetic script writing and confident delivery on microphone and camera.

Nice To Haves

• Boxing or kickboxing coaching experience.
• Experience creating fitness content for apps, streaming, or social media.
• An existing fitness community or social presence.

Responsibilities

• Choreograph BoxFlow workouts to music using Jabs, Crosses, Hooks, Slips, Squats, and Blocks, paced for beginner and intermediate players.
• Write and record voiceover scripts that cue combinations, coach form, and motivate; appear on camera as needed.
• Design and lead fitness challenges and programs across BoxFlow and NexGym that help parents get started and stay consistent.
• Engage with the fitness community as a coaching voice and bring feedback back to the team.
• Partner with designers and engineers on new workout interactions for the living room.
• Playtest and refine workouts with the team.
• Design and pitch an initial fitness challenge or program using available tracking.
