Fitness Center Staff - M/W/F opening shifts
About The Position
The YMCA of Greater Erie is looking to hire a part-time staff member for our Fitness Center at our Eastside Location. This position involves assisting members to ensure a positive and enriching experience, providing proper instruction for equipment usage, and maintaining a clean and safe fitness center. The role includes orienting new members, facilitating their onboarding, and serving as a liaison between members and management. Emphasis is placed on providing enthusiastic instruction on safety and proper technique, ensuring equipment is operational, and adhering to YMCA standards.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- Certified in First Aid and CPR
- Experience with nautilus, universal, free weight and cardiovascular equipment.
- Strong human relation skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist members in ensuring a positive and enriching experience.
- Provide proper instruction for members on fitness equipment and techniques.
- Keep the fitness center and free weight room clean and safe at all times.
- Assist with the orientation of new members and facilitate their onboarding.
- Communicate with members on a daily basis.
- Provide instruction emphasizing safety and proper technique.
- Keep equipment operating and ensure compliance with YMCA standards.
