About The Position
The City of Florissant is seeking a part-time Fitness Center Attendant. The ideal candidate will monitor the Fitness Center and assists in supporting and enforcing the rules, regulations and safety of the patrons. This is a safety sensitive position.
Requirements
- Minimum age of 16 years of age
- Working knowledge of exercise equipment.
- High School Diploma or in the process of obtaining a high school diploma or GED.
- Must obtain the following Certifications within 60 Days of hire: CPR Certification by a nationally accredited organization, AED Certification by a nationally accredited organization, First Aid Certification by a nationally accredited organization.
Nice To Haves
- Some college is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests and members in friendly manner
- Maintain safety of patrons at all times
- Maintains a clean and safe environment by monitoring the facility constantly and addressing any safety or cleanliness issues immediately
- Provide cleaning and basic maintenance to the equipment and the fitness area.
- Enforcement of fitness center rules and regulations
- Reports problems, or equipment issues immediately to the full time supervisor.
- Give suggestions to improve the operation to the supervisor
- Instruct patrons on machine operation
- Responsible for recording attendance figures.
- Performs other duties as directed
