About The Position

Camp Anokijig is seeking a Fishing Instructor for its Fishing Expedition Program for the summer season. This role involves teaching campers aged 7-16 basic open and closed bait fishing techniques, including the use of live and artificial baits. Fly fishing instruction and typing are also part of the desired skill set. The position runs for 10 1/2 to 15 weeks, including training, and starts on June 2nd or earlier. Applicants must be 18+ or a high school graduate by June 13, 2026. The role can be a resident position with room and board and cabin counselor responsibilities, or an hourly position working Monday-Friday with some evening hours.

Requirements

  • Must be 18+ or a high school graduate by June 13, 2026.
  • Experience with basic open and closed bait fishing techniques.
  • Experience with live and artificial baits.
  • Ability to teach fly fishing.
  • Ability to teach typing.
