Fishing Sales Associate - Full-time
About The Position
The Sales Outfitter performs selling and customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by demonstrating products, helping customers make buying decisions, maintaining product knowledge, replenishing and restocking merchandise, and keeping the work area clean and supplied. Associates follow company policies and procedures and perform other duties as assigned. The position is performed under general supervision and established procedures, with occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and make recommendations about work procedures, policies, and practices. The posted starting pay rate is $15.00–$17.75. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent experience.
- Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
- Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and other associates.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
- Ability to operate a computerized point-of-sale register system.
Responsibilities
- Support a strong commitment to world-class customer service and provide a pleasant, productive shopping experience.
- Greet and acknowledge customers promptly and in a friendly manner; handle merchandise with care and provide information, assistance, and direction.
- Demonstrate products to customers.
- Assist customers with buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs and making product recommendations.
- Promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
- Maintain product expertise through ongoing product knowledge training.
- Stay knowledgeable about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
- Replenish and restock merchandise according to merchandising guidelines and as required.
- Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
- Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
