About The Position

The Sales Outfitter performs selling and customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a welcoming and productive shopping experience by learning about products, demonstrating merchandise, maintaining displays and stock, and helping customers make informed buying decisions. The position operates under general supervision and follows established procedures while occasionally exercising independent judgment to complete assignments and recommend improvements to work procedures, policies, and practices.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale register system.
• Ability to stand and/or walk throughout the shift.
• Ability to move objects up to 20 pounds constantly and occasionally move or lift objects up to 100 pounds or more using a team lift as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, prompt customer service and help create a pleasant, productive shopping experience.
• Demonstrate products and provide information, assistance, and direction to customers.
• Identify and evaluate customer needs and recommend products based on that analysis.
• Promote programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
• Maintain product knowledge through ongoing training and remain knowledgeable about advertised sales.
• Maintain pricing and signage.
• Replenish and restock merchandise according to merchandising guidelines and as needed.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
