This position serves as the Regional Coordinator primarily for Southeast Alaska, responsible for supporting 12-15 local fish and game advisory committees (ACs) and acting as a regional point of contact for the fish and game regulatory process involving the ACs and the Boards of Fisheries and Game. The mission of the ADF&G Boards Support Section is to facilitate an effective board and public process for the state's fish and wildlife regulatory system, ensuring citizens have clear and helpful information to engage effectively. The incumbent contributes to this mission by communicating information about the regulatory process to ACs and the public, facilitating the work of ACs who provide input to the boards. This role is one of six positions statewide assisting 84 fish and game advisory committees and the public in the process for making changes to Alaska's hunting, fishing, and trapping regulations.
