The University of Virginia seeks a Fiscal Technician in the School of Architecture’s Center for Cultural Landscapes. This is an active center that hosts events, produces scholarships, and engages in participatory action research. The Center for Cultural Landscapes (CCL) Fiscal Technician is a full-time staff member who reports directly to the faculty director as her assistant and manages all financial processes for the Center staff. The fiscal technician position is divided between financial functions for the Center and serving as an assistant to the Faculty Director. This position supports processing travel planning, reimbursements, and invoicing for CCL staff, the Faculty Director, advisory board members, and grantees. They process subgrantee and stipend payments. The Fiscal Technician performs various support duties across multiple financial disciplines, including accounting, budgeting, payroll, financial analysis, purchasing, grants administration, and treasury. Fiscal Technicians are often responsible for data entry and reporting within the University's various financial systems. They perform routine duties under close supervision and seek guidance from supervisors or other experienced team members as needed. The Fiscal Technician will also support an entire research group, as well as teams, committees, and tasks or functions related to special grant-funded initiatives and related Center activities.
