About The Position

The Spears School of Business Senior Manager of Fiscal Operations leads the Research and Financial Services team, overseeing critical financial functions that support the college, including purchasing, financial reporting, and account reconciliation. This role ensures efficient and compliant financial operations while delivering high-quality service to departments across the college. As a key resource for faculty and staff, the Senior Manager provides expert guidance on purchasing policies, allowability of expenses, and foundation-related matters. The position also plays an important role in communicating updates related to purchasing processes and policies to the college. Working closely with the Director of Business Operations, this position also supports strategic initiatives, strengthens financial practices, and helps ensure the college’s fiscal health and operational effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration or a related field.
  • Six years of related and progressive work experience such as bookkeeping, accounting, or purchasing.
  • Good technical skills including database development and management.
  • Financial background.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with people in a friendly, business-like manner.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to interact with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Ability to work with numerous individuals including faculty, staff, students, and various administrators throughout the OSU community.
  • Ability to handle numerous deadlines simultaneously.
