Reno-Sparks Indian Colony: Who We Are The Reno-Sparks Indian Colony (RSIC) is a federally recognized tribal government dedicated to the economic and social advancement of its people. Established in the early 1900s and formally recognized under the Indian Reorganization Act of 1934, the RSIC represents over 1,100 members of the Paiute, Shoshone, and Washoe Tribes—Three Tribes, One Nation. What it's like to be a Fiscal Intermediary at Fiscal Intermediary As a Full Time Fiscal Intermediary at the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony, you will play a crucial role in the management of Purchased and Referred Care (PRC) and Tribal Medicaid Federally Qualified Health Centers (TMFQHC) claims. Operating under the direct supervision of the Referral Department Manager, you will determine referral eligibility for payments in accordance with federal regulations and evaluate provider agreements to ensure compliance. Your responsibilities include auditing claims for accuracy, initiating payments, and maintaining meticulous fiscal records while ensuring confidentiality. You'll serve as the key contact for provider groups regarding program coverage and billing requirements. Your attention to detail will aid in the timely adjudication of claims, while your proactive communication will enhance stakeholder relationships. Additionally, you will monitor PRC funds, track potential cases requiring special attention, and contribute to quality assurance efforts, making a significant impact on the overall efficiency of care delivery.
