This position is responsible for performing fiscal assignments of a complex nature, participating in a broad variety of budget, project management, and grant-related assignments. The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Public or Business Administration, or a related field and have four years of governmental budgetary/finance experience. Head Start experience is preferred. The chosen candidate should be a detail-oriented problem solver with strong analytical, critical thinking, and financial skills who can interpret complex data, communicate insights clearly, and support sound budgeting and financial decision-making. The ability to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, as well as evaluate budgets and forecast outcomes is also essential. A solid understanding of budgeting and forecasting, accounting principles, and financial statements and reporting is required. Attention to detail and accuracy is vital and will be expected in relation to financial reports, budget data, and compliance requirements.
