The Washington State Department of Corrections is seeking an individual who is excited to make an impact through accuracy, accountability, and service. As a Fiscal Analyst 1, you’ll play an important role in supporting the agency’s mission of Positively Transforming Lives by helping ensure financial resources are managed accurately, responsibly, and efficiently. Your work will directly support the day-to-day operations of the agency and the individuals we serve. In this position, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely management of incarcerated individual trust funds and financial transactions. You will review and process financial transactions, maintain accurate records, reconcile accounts, and ensure compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulations. The Fiscal Analyst 1 works closely with staff and other stakeholders to resolve financial discrepancies, provide quality customer service, and ensure funds are properly accounted for and processed. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, organization, and the ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information. This position also contributes to a positive, respectful, and professional workplace by demonstrating ethical and fair conduct, accountability, and a commitment to treating others with dignity and respect.
