About The Position

Montgomery County is seeking an experienced, organized, and detail-oriented TERM Administrative Specialist II to support the fiscal and budget operations of the Social Services Office – Office of Eligibility and Support Services (OESS). This position supports financial operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance with Federal, State, and County funds. In this role, you will oversee budgeting processes, manage fiscal records, and provide administrative support to maintain smooth financial workflows. This is a one-year term position, scheduled to end on July 1, 2027, with continued employment contingent upon renewal. The anticipated hiring range for this position is $72,567 to $105,591.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree.
  • Two (2) years of professional administrative experience in budget development or budget management.
  • Additional education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
  • Additional administrative, business, research and/or clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year-year basis.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
  • Completion of a pre-employment Medical History Form.
  • Filing a Financial Disclosure Statement within 15 days of beginning employment.
