About The Position

Grupo Eulen is seeking an FIS Supervisor to manage and lead a team of agents in airport operations. This role involves close collaboration with airline representatives, government agencies, and airport authorities to ensure smooth operations. The supervisor will be responsible for training, coaching, performance evaluations, and real-time issue resolution to minimize disruptions. Key duties include implementing safety procedures, assisting with workforce planning and scheduling, and conducting inspections to ensure compliance with service standards and security protocols. The role also involves direct interaction with baggage handling, including loading and arranging luggage, and observing flight statuses. The supervisor must ensure the safe, secure, and expeditious transit of international passengers and luggage while providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

  • Must possess at least a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in airport operations, ground handling, or a similar field.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to speak and understand Spanish / English.
  • Strong self-organization and self-management skills, with an emphasis on self-initiation and follow-through.
  • Requires flexibility to work additional hours beyond the regular shift, on short notice, and as needed during irregular operations.
  • Must be able to obtain a SIDA Badge from the airport.
  • Must have schedule flexibility for the weekend, holidays, and night shifts.
  • Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds in confined spaces.
  • Must be able to stand, lift, bend, push, and pull for extended periods of time.
  • Must be willing to work outside in all types of weather and elevated noise levels within the airport environment.
  • The incumbent to be able to speak and be understood, hear, and comprehend the English language.
  • Must be able to relocate in the event of an emergency.
  • Must have a neat and professional appearance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead a team of agents, providing training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
  • Work closely with airline representatives, government agencies, and airport authorities to streamline operations.
  • Identify and resolve operational issues in real-time to minimize delays and disruptions.
  • Implement and uphold safety procedures, ensuring that all staff adhere to company and regulatory safety guidelines.
  • Assist in workforce planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet daily operational demands.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with service standards and security protocols.
  • Employees will be dumping regular and oversized luggage/items into the baggage handling system from the carts and canisters at Customs.
  • Observe the arrival of all international flights and document accurate arrival and departure times, passenger "hold" and "release" times, and other pertinent flight status information.
  • Assign baggage carousels to ground handlers for the delivery of bags into the baggage control area of the FIS, ensuring proper placement and alignment to prevent baggage jams.
  • Ensure the safe, secure, and expeditious transit of international passengers and luggage through various facilities of the FIS with excellent customer service and good communication skills.
  • Safely and efficiently move, arrange and adjust baggage on the baggage carousel to accommodate additional baggage.
  • Other duties as assigned.
