The FirstAlt Operations Rep is responsible for assisting in working with and onboarding transportation partners, managing daily trips, and assisting parents and districts with their needs. This role involves daily customer management, including day-to-day operations, new client start-ups, client retention, and development. The representative will also assist in capturing new business opportunities with current and new clients, working with internal staff on proposals and negotiations. Key duties include acquiring and managing staff equipment, monitoring and implementing new legislation affecting alternative student transportation, and developing ongoing relationships with local and national transportation providers. During school year startup, the role requires communicating and negotiating proposed routes with local service providers. The Operations Rep is responsible for overseeing account efficiency, managing customer service levels, overseeing vehicle maintenance and compliance, and managing a large driver and transportation partner pool. Collaboration with internal departments is essential to improve service quality, reduce costs, and increase productivity. The role also involves maintaining a safe and efficient environment for passengers, contractors, and the public by managing regulatory and client policies.
