About The Position

Florida Atlantic University is seeking a First-Year Student Academic Success Coordinator. This role is crucial for enhancing first-year student engagement with academic support resources provided by the Center for Teaching and Learning. The Coordinator will report to the Associate Director of CLASS and eSuccess and will be responsible for leading innovative outreach initiatives, delivering impactful presentations, and supporting early-alert campaigns to foster successful student transitions and sustained academic achievement.

Requirements

  • Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead highly engaging presentations at new student orientation events and tabling stations at open houses and other events attended by first-year students.
  • Coordinate the representation of the Center for Learning and Student Success (CLASS) through in-class presentations, center tours, and college or departmental events.
  • Implement semesterly special projects to increase the number of first-year students using the learning center's support services.
  • Support early alert and midterm student success campaigns, including participation in call campaigns and other time-sensitive interventions.
  • Advocate for first-year student representation in strategic planning, assessment, and reporting.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned in support of organizational objectives.
