Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and Finance or related field
  • Two (2) years of post-baccalaureate experience as an Associate – Residential Mortgage, Analyst, or in a related position
  • Experience must include Bloomberg, Yield Book, Intext, Tableau, and Python

Responsibilities

  • Perform analysis and make recommendations for the purposes of pricing and securitization execution and optimization for newly created Investment Portfolios
  • Analyze new financing structures for investment purposes and work with various dealers on new products or structures that PennyMac could originate or source for investment purposes
  • Run and monitor private label securitization of whole loans for various asset classes beginning to end
  • Maintain and enhance existing cashflow models related to ongoing pricing and estimated securitization execution for various asset classes
  • Determine pricing at which securities should be offered to various asset classes
  • Develop bespoke financial models including scenario analysis and cashflow modeling to assess investment opportunities
  • Run various sensitivity and scenario analysis using internal credit models on existing positions
  • Evaluate data gathered from models to ensure securities valuations and pricing are accurate
  • Meet with and manage relationships with vendors, transaction counterparties, and internal cross-functional business areas
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management and both technical and non-technical stakeholders
