About The Position

As a First Line Risk Analyst, you will help strengthen the bank’s risk and control environment by supporting monitoring, testing, and reporting activities across lending operations. In this role, you’ll partner with business leaders and risk teams to identify issues, support regulatory readiness, and improve processes that protect both customers and the organization. This is a great opportunity to build expertise in risk management, compliance, and operational controls within a collaborative banking environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in Financial Services, Operations, Compliance, Audit, Risk Support, or a related field.
  • Up to 2 years of knowledge of banking products and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with Investor Relations
  • Experience supporting lending operations, control testing, or risk monitoring programs.
  • Familiarity with regulations including TILA, ECOA, RESPA, and FDCPA.
  • Experience working with risk reporting, KRIs, or issue management activities.

Responsibilities

  • Execute monitoring activities across loan portfolios to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Perform control testing and process reviews across lending originations, servicing, and default operations.
  • Analyze key risk indicators, including delinquencies, disputes, and complaints, and escalate concerns when needed.
  • Support issue remediation efforts by gathering documentation and tracking corrective actions.
  • Partner with business leaders, compliance teams, and audit partners to maintain a strong control environment.
  • Assist with risk assessments related to new products, services, and system enhancements.
  • Prepare clear and accurate documentation to support audit and regulatory examinations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen operational effectiveness and risk management practices.
