About The Position

Boeing Global Services is seeking a C-17 First Line Manufacturing Manager to support its San Antonio business. This role reports to the C-17 Senior Operations Manager and involves overseeing a diverse team of ramp, hanger, and serviceability operations personnel. The manager will be responsible for leading employees in various manufacturing disciplines, developing and executing business plans, policies, and procedures, and formulating organizational and technical strategies. Key aspects of the role include acquiring resources, providing technical management to suppliers, leading process improvements, and fostering relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports. The position also requires oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes, as well as managing, developing, and motivating employees, and promoting a culture focused on safety and quality.

Requirements

  • At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
  • 3+ years of experience performing in a leadership role, formal and/or informal.
  • 5+ years of experience working with aircraft maintenance and/or modifications.
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements; a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required.
