About The Position

Boeing Global Services is seeking a C-17 First Line Manufacturing Manager to support our San Antonio business. The candidate will report to the C-17 Senior Operations Manager and will oversee a diverse team of ramp, hanger, and serviceability operations personnel. This position is for Variable Shift.

Requirements

Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
5+ years of experience working with aircraft maintenance and/or modifications
Must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process
Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Responsibilities

Oversee a team maintaining C-17 aircraft
Manage employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines
Develop and execute business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies
Acquire resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
Manages, develops and motivates employees
Promote an environment and culture that is safety and quality driven
