About The Position

Global Technical Operations, Field Operations is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Aircraft Mechanic (C-17), working out of the CFB Trenton, ON to support Canada Operational & Intermediate (O&I) Level Maintenance Augmentation Support Team (MAST) under the United States Government C-17 G3 Sustainment Contract. The Aircraft Mechanic (C-17) will work directly under the guidance of the Lead Technician and report directly to the onsite Maintenance Manager.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of aircraft maintenance experience required.
  • Knowledge of operations and aircraft maintenance practices.
  • Must have knowledge and use of special tools/equipment required to perform assigned maintenance tasks and the ability to interpret Technical Orders (TOs).
  • Must have one of the following: Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) licensed E rating or Military equivalent.
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada.
  • Must be willing and eligible to work on Canadian government and defense-related programs with no restrictions.
  • Must consent to Canadian Government Controlled Goods Program (CGP) assessment.
  • Individuals must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods.
  • Must be eligible for Secret Level II security clearance.
  • Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience with Canadian Aviation Regulations and Aircraft Airworthiness Directives.
  • Canadian CC177 Globemaster III Type Course via Air Educational and Training Command (AETC) Department of Defense/Canadian Armed Forces Airworthiness Program
  • Active Secret Level II security clearance.
  • Proven knowledge and proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint and the ability to learn in-house systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assembles, disassembles, repairs, modifies, and/or upgrades aircraft systems and components to correct failures or implement changes.
  • Supports scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities, including inspections, troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of aircraft components.
  • Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems to isolate faults and repair defective components.
  • Performs validation and verification testing of systems and components to ensure proper operation.
  • Documents maintenance actions, procedures, test results, and inspection findings to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance.
  • Inspects components and verifies repairs for airworthiness and flight readiness requirements.
  • Supports system configuration, assembly, disassembly, and overhaul activities as required.
  • Works under general direction and may assist in training less experienced personnel.
