About The Position

ThermAvant Technologies, LLC specializes in designing and manufacturing high-performance custom thermal management solutions. Our innovative products include advanced heat sinks and heat spreaders utilizing Oscillating Heat Pipe (OHP) technology, tailored for both terrestrial and aerospace applications. Based in Columbia, Missouri, ThermAvant operates an AS9100D/ISO9001-certified facility in Columbia, Missouri. We are seeking a First Level Manufacturing Supervisor (1st Shift) responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the production floor. The First Level Manufacturing Supervisor will oversee and direct job duties by prioritizing workload for our CNC team, maintain a safe work environment while coordinating daily CNC operations and ensuring quality requirements are met. The First Level Manufacturing Supervisor will develop, provide, and maintain a good communication flow for information between shifts with our Engineering and Production Departments.

Requirements

Associates or Bachelors degree in technical field, may be substituted by equivalent combination of education and / or experience.
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
Technical experience and familiarity with machining, assembly production, and electronics.
Ability to coordinate and organize multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Manages effectively the use of production hours, skills, equipment, and facilities while being accountable for costs, quality, and production.
Effectively interact with Production and Engineering teams to maintain product movement throughout the manufacturing facility.
Identifies and coordinates the implementation of improvements for safety, quality, and productivity.
Plans production / operations, establishes priorities with Director of Operations for sequences of manufacturing products.
Monitor and improve employee productivity and effectiveness related to operations and maintains a commitment to employee involvement.
Performs other duties as assigned.
