Aspira Pacifica Retirement Living is seeking a Permanent Part-Time First Cook with 60 hours bi-weekly. The role involves visually inspecting and selecting fresh ingredients, preparing menu items using quality methods, and demonstrating scratch cooking skills. The First Cook is responsible for ensuring meals are served at appropriate temperatures with attractive presentations and balanced taste. This role also includes monitoring food receiving, storage, and rotation to comply with health regulations, and assuming responsibility for departmental operations in the absence of the Executive Chef. The First Cook provides direction to Second Cooks and Stewards, maintains a clean and sanitized work environment, adheres to department policies, and assists with cleaning duties and food inventory counts. They also assist in the orientation and training of kitchen team members and perform other assigned duties.
