This includes regulating temperatures of cooking equipment, managing food thawing processes, ensuring proper portioning and garnishing, and maintaining food logs. The role involves monitoring food quality and quantity, communicating with the Chef and Food & Beverage staff regarding menu specials and stock levels, and assisting management with tasks such as hiring, training, and scheduling employees. The First Cook is expected to uphold company safety and security policies, maintain a professional appearance, protect company assets, and provide excellent guest service. This position requires developing positive working relationships and supporting team goals.
