About The Position

This role involves a mix of firmware development tools & infrastructure (70%) and embedded firmware implementation (30%). The candidate will develop and enhance firmware build automation and toolchains, create CI workflows and automated testing solutions, integrate code quality and security tools, improve source control and release processes, and document development workflows. Additionally, they will develop firmware for next-generation actuator platforms, assist with BSP, driver, and application software development, debug firmware, support hardware bring-up, participate in product validation and testing, and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related engineering discipline
  • Strong foundation in engineering fundamentals and problem-solving
  • Experience or coursework in embedded systems development
  • Familiarity with C/C++ programming
  • Exposure to software development processes, version control, and debugging tools
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation, schematics, and data sheets
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, Perforce)
  • Experience with continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
  • Experience with personal, academic, or team-based embedded software projects
  • Familiarity with embedded debugging tools and techniques
  • Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS)
  • Familiarity with static analysis and unit testing frameworks
  • Familiarity with secure software development practices
