About The Position

Branson Fire & Rescue is creating an eligibility list for future firefighter openings. This is an opportunity to be considered for future firefighter openings with Branson Fire & Rescue. The position operates on a 10 Step Pay Matrix with a 48/96 Shift Schedule.

Requirements

• Certification in Firefighter I & II through the Missouri Division of Fire Safety, IFSAC, or Pro-Board.
• A current Missouri EMT license or NREMT certification.
• Valid CPR certification.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess and maintain a valid Motor Vehicle Operator's license and be insurable under the City of Branson's motor vehicle coverage.
• Vision correctable to 20/40.
• Pass the Ishihara color vision test and/or be able to recognize the colors of traffic signals and devices showing red, green, and amber.
• Meet established hearing standards as outlined in NFPA 1582.
• Pass a background investigation, drug and alcohol screenings, and post-offer medical evaluation.

Nice To Haves

• One (1) year of experience.
• National Registry EMT (NREMT).
• Currently enrolled in an approved Fire Academy will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls.
• Provide fire suppression and emergency medical services.
• Operate fire apparatus and equipment.
• Conduct fire prevention inspections.
• Participate in training and drills.
