About The Position
East Moline is establishing an eligibility list for the position of Firefighter. Candidates will undergo a testing process that includes a written examination and an oral interview to be placed on the eligibility register. Applicants must meet specific age and citizenship requirements. While not required to be licensed as an EMT-Basic or EMT-Paramedic to apply, a valid CPAT card is required when contacted for hiring.
Requirements
- Be citizens of the United States.
- Be at least 20 years old (but shall not be appointed until reaching 21 years old).
- Be under 35 years of age, with specific exceptions for prior military service, prior full-time firefighter experience in Illinois, or five years of volunteer/paid-on-call/part-time firefighter service.
- Possess a valid CPAT card when contacted for hiring.
Nice To Haves
- Licensed as an EMT-Basic or EMT-Paramedic.
Responsibilities
