About The Position
The Firefighter/Paramedic delivers advanced emergency medical care while performing firefighting and rescue duties. This role is responsible for protecting life and property through emergency response, medical treatment, rescue operations, and fire suppression activities.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- State Paramedic Certification.
- Firefighter I and II Certifications.
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS Certifications.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Strong leadership and emergency response skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide Advanced Life Support (ALS) during emergencies.
- Perform firefighting and rescue operations.
- Administer medications and advanced medical procedures.
- Operate emergency vehicles and specialized equipment.
- Participate in inspections and community risk reduction programs.
- Complete patient and incident documentation.
- Maintain readiness of apparatus and equipment.
- Attend required training and certifications.
