About The Position

The City of Georgetown is now accepting applications for an experienced Firefighter EMT. This position responds to emergency situations within the City to perform fire suppression, hazardous materials incident response and rescue duties as well as administers CPR and first aid and removes victims from dangerous situations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• NFPA FF I & FF II
• SC and National Registry EMT
• NFPA 1582 Physical
• Background Check
• Drug Screening
• Minimum of one to two years of experience in the firefighting and EMT field
• Firefighter II certification
• EMT certification
• Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency situations within the City
• Perform fire suppression
• Perform hazardous materials incident response
• Perform rescue duties
• Administer CPR and first aid
• Remove victims from dangerous situations
