The Firefighter/ALS is responsible for providing emergency response, firefighting, rescue, and Advanced Life Support (ALS) services in support of personnel, visitors, facilities, and mission-critical operations at Wallops Flight Facility. As a member of the emergency response team, this position responds to fires, medical emergencies, aircraft incidents, hazardous materials events, technical rescues, and other emergencies requiring immediate intervention and skilled response. The Firefighter/ALS delivers emergency medical care within the scope of certification and training while actively participating in firefighting, rescue, and incident stabilization operations. This position supports the protection of life, property, and operational assets through rapid response, professional judgment, technical competency, and adherence to established emergency response standards and procedures.
