The Fired Equipment Engineer designs, develops, implements and analyzes technical products and systems. This role serves as the Point of Contact (POC) for fired equipment support and escalations, troubleshooting issues, and planning turnaround and equipment strategy. This position is located onsite in Baton Rouge, LA, within a refinery environment, with a work split of 30% field and 70% in office. Per diem and living allowance may be offered for candidates residing 100+ miles from Baton Rouge, LA. The anticipated role duration is one year with the possibility of extension. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week, with potential for overtime as needed upon client request and approval. No travel is required.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of industry experience
  • 3+ years fire equipment experience with heaters, boilers, flares
  • Operation and project delivery background
  • Proficient in fired simulation software and Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrates effective communication across several teams
  • Displays initiative with juggling several priorities with tight deadlines
  • Strong knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within particular field
  • Bachelor's in mechanical or chemical engineering

Responsibilities

  • Represents local workgroup internally and on occasion, externally.
