About The Position

Ragle Inc. is seeking an Equipment Engineer to support our Equipment Division. This position works closely with the Equipment Manager to improve equipment reliability, utilization, performance, and lifecycle management across Ragle's fleet of heavy construction equipment. The ideal candidate is a motivated engineer with strong mechanical aptitude, analytical skills, and a desire to develop a career supporting heavy equipment and fleet operations within a heavy civil construction environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline preferred
  • 0-5 years of engineering, maintenance, fleet, asset management, or equipment-related experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical manuals
  • Understanding of maintenance principles and equipment lifecycle management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience within construction, heavy equipment, manufacturing, mining, industrial, or fleet environments
  • Familiarity with CMMS, EAM, GPS, telematics, or equipment tracking systems
  • Exposure to hydraulics, diesel engines, pneumatics, and electrical systems
  • Experience supporting capital projects or equipment procurement activities

Responsibilities

  • Support the Equipment Manager with daily equipment and fleet operations
  • Analyze equipment performance, utilization, reliability, and maintenance data
  • Assist with preventative and predictive maintenance programs
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and support root cause analysis efforts
  • Support equipment procurement, commissioning, and retirement activities
  • Assist with capital projects, cost estimates, and technical evaluations
  • Develop and maintain equipment standards, procedures, and documentation
  • Coordinate with operations, maintenance, safety, and project teams
  • Assist with spare parts management and inventory optimization
  • Support vendor relationships and equipment service providers
  • Identify opportunities to improve fleet performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with company safety standards and equipment policies
