About The Position

The Seasonal Events Associate performs duties associated with store events and takes part in short-term assignments and seasonal events to support the store throughout the year. The role provides customer service and product recommendations, assists with seasonal events and in-house outdoor skills workshops, and helps maintain a clean, neat, and safe work area. The position works under general supervision using established procedures, with occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and make recommendations about work procedures, policies, and practices.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
• Ability to perform data entry and analyze reports and ledgers.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and other associates.
• Good customer service skills.
• Ability to function in a noisy and hectic environment with children and parents.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements, including standing and/or walking throughout the shift and occasionally lifting or moving objects weighing up to 100 pounds with a team lift as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support a strong commitment to world-class customer service and ensure a pleasant, productive shopping experience for customers.
• Assist customers with buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs, recommending products, and promoting programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, children, and customers.
• Assist with the execution of seasonal events.
• Facilitate in-house outdoor skills workshops.
• Participate in store events as scheduled.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and safe.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
