About The Position

This position is primarily responsible for assisting customers in their purchase of company products and services. The role involves handling all aspects of customer service, assisting with inventory, promoting a positive culture, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers. Key responsibilities include handling inbound calls, accurately processing required paperwork following ATF guidelines, quoting prices, describing product features, stocking products, cleaning work areas, and enforcing safety, health, and security rules. The associate is accountable for sales and quality control.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Knowledge of Inventory Software; and Order Processing Systems.
Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Occasionally required to climb or balance or smell.
Must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Regularly exposed to explosives.
Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat.
Standing for extended periods, lifts packages, performs light cleaning functions, stocks and straightens merchandise, types data into a point-of-sale terminal, handles cash, assists customers with merchandise, checks ATF forms and layaways.

Responsibilities

Handles all aspects of customer service (internal and external customers alike)
Ability to handle customer and employee issues, along with communicating to management regarding issues that need to be addressed.
Assists with inventory to and from the warehouse, and sales floor.
Responsible for promoting a positive culture within the department/store.
Works with customers to insure a positive shopping experience.
Handles inbound calls
Provides and collects required paperwork and forms following all ATF guidelines, ensuring accuracy of data collected free of errors or missing data.
Maintains required paperwork.
Quotes price and describes features of product items.
Emphasizes salable features, credit terms, and prepares sales orders for orders obtained.
Stocks products on sales floor
Cleans and organizes work areas
Enforces safety, health, and security rules.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
All other duties as required by management.
