About The Position

Smoky Mountain Guns & Ammo is looking for a friendly, knowledgeable, and dependable Firearms Sales Associate to join our team in Sevierville, TN. This position will be responsible for helping customers select firearms, ammunition, optics, accessories, and other outdoor products while providing excellent customer service and following all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.

Requirements

Strong knowledge of firearms and related products.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Comfortable working with a wide variety of customers.
Must be dependable, professional, and able to work as part of a team.
Must be legally eligible to work with and sell firearms in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Ability to pass all required background checks.

Nice To Haves

Previous firearms, sporting goods, retail, or sales experience preferred.
Retail sales experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person.
Personable, trustworthy, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a busy retail environment.

Responsibilities

Assist customers with firearm, ammunition, optic, and accessory purchases.
Provide knowledgeable and honest product recommendations.
Answer customer questions about firearms and related products.
Process firearm sales and required paperwork accurately and in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
Follow all ATF, company, and store procedures regarding firearm transfers and sales.
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor.
Receive, price, display, and inventory merchandise.
Operate the point-of-sale system and handle customer transactions.
Help with inventory counts and general store duties.
Stay up to date on products, manufacturers, and industry knowledge.
Provide a professional and welcoming experience for every customer.
