Part-Time Firearm Sales
About The Position
Scheels is seeking a Part-Time Firearm Sales associate who will contribute to a culture that thrives on delivering a personalized WOW customer experience, having a team-first, winning mentality, learning and adapting to constant change, taking pride in work and thinking like owners, and expecting honesty and integrity in all that they do. The associate will greet customers, deliver exceptional customer service, grow personal sales, create a positive end-user experience, maintain visual merchandising standards, assist with freight processing and inventory restocking, demonstrate product usage, attend training and meetings, assist in training new associates, navigate computer systems, and perform other assigned duties.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1-3 months of sales experience
- Ability to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Follow all safety procedures and perform job duties in a fashion that minimizes the risk of injury.
Responsibilities
- Greet all customers on the sales floor with genuine courtesy and a smile, to ensure they feel welcomed the moment they enter your shop
- Deliver exceptional customer service by seeking out and engaging with customers, going through the steps of the sale to determine their needs, recommending appropriate products, and promoting the Scheels Visa Credit Card
- Grow personal sales by consistently hitting set goals and following Scheels' professional salesmanship standards and the steps of the sale to provide an above-and-beyond customer experience
- Create a positive end-user experience based on the products the customer is purchasing
- Maintain a high standard of visual merchandising and support the team with freight processing and inventory restocking
- Ability to demonstrate product usage within their shop and retrieve product from heights of greater than 6 ft
- Attend all required Scheels product training and all store meetings
- Assist in the training of new associates in the areas of the store's expertise
- Ability to navigate a personal computer and a handheld inventory computer/scanner. Programs include: Microsoft Office, Google Email / Docs, and AS400
- Assist in all other assigned duties by the leadership team
