Scheels is seeking a Part-Time Firearm Sales Associate who will be responsible for ensuring accurate and thorough completion of all firearm sales paperwork, including form 4473, licensing, and background checks. The associate will also be expected to demonstrate proper firearm safety and handling, evaluate firearms for resale, and exercise good judgment when interacting with customers. A well-rounded knowledge of the firearm industry, including ammunition, reloading, and optics, is essential. The role requires adherence to all company policies and procedures, the legal ability to own a firearm, and the capacity to identify and prevent straw purchases. The associate will greet customers, grow personal sales by meeting goals, promote the Scheels Visa Rewards card, and engage customers to assist in their buying decisions. Demonstrating a passion for products, attending training and meetings, and maintaining a professional appearance are also key aspects of the role. Additional duties include assisting with freight/stocking, performing basic math, reading and writing correspondence, and effectively presenting information to customers and employees. Strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills are necessary.
