Temporary Fire Watch
About The Position
Weyerhaeuser Idabel Lumber mill is accepting applications for Temporary Part-Time Fire Watch. We are seeking individuals who are committed to safety, have a positive attitude, excellent work ethic, and a desire to work in a manufacturing facility. This position will be assigned weekend work up to 30 hours per week as needed. This position is designated by Weyerhaeuser as safety-sensitive. As a result, you will be subject to pre-employment testing for cannabis and its metabolites. A positive test result for marijuana (including THC) may disqualify you from employment, even if you hold a valid Oklahoma medical marijuana license.
Requirements
- High school education or GED.
- Willing and able to work weekends as operating conditions require.
- Willing and able to perform the essential job functions of the position such as but not limited to; the ability to climb stairs and ladders, navigate catwalks, all heights and locations in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures (heat and cold) throughout the plant for the assigned shift.
- Knowledgeable of firefighting equipment (fire extinguishers, hoses, etc.).
- Basic Computer experience is required.
- Successful completion of post-offer background check, physical, and drug screen.
Responsibilities
- Firewatch duties consisting of monitoring all hot work activities.
- Signing off on hot work permits per FM Global requirements.
- A personal and total commitment to observe all safety rules and regulations.
