About The Position
Impact Fire is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer to join its growing team in Austin. The role involves surveying existing fire sprinkler systems on site, designing new fire sprinkler systems, performing hydraulic calculations, and running and checking stocklists.
Requirements
- Competent working knowledge of NFPA 13.
- At least 2 years of fire sprinkler design experience with HydraCAD.
- Experience with general submittal procedures to the AHJ.
Nice To Haves
- 5 years of fire sprinkler design experience with HydraCAD.
- Experience with fire pump design.
- Experience with standpipes.
- Experience with storage design.
- NICET Level 2 in Water-Based Systems Layout.
- RME-G preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform accurate on-site surveys of existing fire sprinkler systems.
- Draw new fire sprinkler systems from the ground up.
- Run hydraulic calculations.
- Run and check stocklists.
