About The Position

Shambaugh & Son is looking for a Service Sales Estimator who will be responsible for working with the Service Team to sell Life Safety Service, Preventative Maintenance, and Quote Service Repairs. The company is one of the largest mechanical, electrical, and plumbing contractors in Indiana and among the preeminent specialty contractors in the nation, specializing in a full range of new and retrofit construction for industrial, food processing, commercial, institutional, healthcare, pharmaceutical, and bio-fuel projects.

Requirements

Knowledgeable of NFPA Fire Protection codes.
Proven record of sales capabilities.
Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record.
Must be disciplined and self-motivated to work with limited supervision.
Excellent communicator and have great organizational skills with a positive attitude while being a team player.
Believe that customer service is the first priority.
Knowledgeable in computers and common computer software.
Able to multi-task, manage processes, decision make, and improve processes.
Flexible with schedule changes or a daily basis.
Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required.

Nice To Haves

Experience in Fire Sprinkler Design a plus.
Life Safety Knowledge preferred with a focus in Sprinkler & Fire Alarm.

Responsibilities

Generate Sales and Estimates for Fire Life Safety Service, including deficiencies from Inspections, Preventative Maintenance, and Service Repairs.
Quote deficiencies from Life Safety Inspections within 48 hours of completion.
Follow-up on existing Inspection Agreement Customers to verify Preventative Maintenance is being conducted as required.
Assemble material lists while onsite and create proposals for customers.
Prepare written quotes with scopes detailing services being provided.
Follow-up with customers in a timely manner to ensure sale is captured.
Assist customers over the phone with Emergency Situations and provide Customer Service for Technical Questions.
Assist Service Manager, Coordinator, and other Sales Personnel as needed.
Multi-task and handle many projects.
Be flexible with schedule changes on a daily basis.
Maintain professional attire.
Perform other duties as assigned.
