About The Position

Coffman Engineers is seeking a dynamic, innovative, and quality-oriented individual with an interest in engineering to join their Atlanta office team as a Fire Protection Engineering Intern during the Summer 2027 break. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of post-secondary education in an accredited fire protection engineering program. This is not a remote position and requires in-person attendance in Duluth, GA. Candidates must be able to reliably commute to the office. This position is not eligible for sponsorship, and no paid interview travel or relocation expenses are offered.

Requirements

Enrolled as a full-time student in an engineering program at a nationally recognized, accredited college.
Two years of required courses completed towards an undergraduate engineering degree.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Detail oriented and organized.
Ability to work up to 40 hours during the school break.
Must be able to reliably commute to the office in Duluth, GA.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Assist with fire protection engineering tasks.
Contribute to projects for commercial, retail, institutional, government, and industrial clients.
Work as part of a multi-discipline engineering team.
