About The Position

We are searching for a Fire Protection Engineering Intern/Co-Op to join our Professional Design team. This internship offers the opportunity to work on exciting projects for clients in industries such as industrial, Department of Defense, and commercial sectors. As an Intern/Co-Op, you will work directly with fire protection engineers, supporting various project tasks and gaining valuable hands-on experience. Your role will primarily involve learning about fire protection building systems through the BIM software Revit and AutoCAD. These tools will allow you to visualize building designs in three dimensions and understand how each component of a building interacts with the others. You will also assist fire protection engineers with other tasks related to ongoing projects. Requirements

Engineering student at an ABET-accredited university, on track for a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Fire Protection Engineering
Completed 2+ years of coursework
Creative, adaptive, and flexible with a strong interest in Fire Protection Design
A basic understanding of engineering principles
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Participation in at least one in-person interview
Expect to meet directly with our team
Expect to have in-person onboarding at a Pond office location

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit is highly preferred
Prior internship or related experience is highly considered
