About The Position

Boston Government Services, LLC. (BGS) is gathering qualified candidates for a Fire Protection Engineer role supporting client work at DOE Hanford, WA, and Portsmouth, KY. BGS is an engineering, technology, and security firm supporting government programs, national laboratories, national security facilities, nuclear operations, and complex projects. The Fire Protection Engineer will serve as a fire/life safety authority, support compliance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards, ensure consistent application of codes, coordinate with other disciplines to support integrated compliance, and perform selected reviews based on schedule, complexity, and urgency. This is a fully onsite, part-time position with a Monday–Friday, 30-hour workweek. Requirements

Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in fire protection engineering or a related discipline, plus 10 years of direct experience.
Experience with NFPA standards, fire hazard analysis, and industrial facilities.
Successful drug screening.
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security or clearance badge.

Nice To Haves

Professional Engineering License in Kentucky or Washington, or equivalent by endorsement.
Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS).

Responsibilities
